Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota Provides Support Vehicle To Retired Marine Running Across U.S. Raising Money for Veterans

Retired Marine Sergeant is running for 3,600 miles across the U.S.to raise money for our troops, and his support staff will be using a truck provided by Washington D.C. Metro area Toyota dealership.

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—November 19, 2012 Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota will be providing a Toyota Tundra pickup truck to retired Marine Sergeant Brendan O'Toole and his support staff for his cross-country Run For Veterans. Sgt. O'Toole started his 3,600-mile journey on Veterans Day, which aims to raise $2 million to support U.S. Armed Forces veterans, combat veterans and disabled veterans, as well as their families.

Sgt. O'Toole will average 15 miles per day starting in Oceanside, Calif. through Washington D.C. to Portland, Maine. If the premise sounds familiar, he was inspired by the scene in the movie "Forrest Gump" in which Tom Hanks' character traveled across the country.

His support staff, led by Marine veteran Corporal Kelly Foy, will travel with O'Toole across the country using the Tundra provided by Alexandria Toyota. The Tundra is also wrapped in a theme inspired by Marine fatigues with various military decals, including an American flag and a POW/MIA flag to honor prisoners of war and those missing in action.

According to the run's website, "the Run for Veterans will engage local communities, collaborate with existing organizations and work with local veteran non-profit groups to connect civilian and military personnel." The run invites anyone to run alongside Sgt. O'Toole throughout his journey to show support for our servicemen and women.

Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota Continues to Raise Awareness, Funds for Parkinson's Research Through Various Avenues

Washington D.C. Metro area Toyota dealership, which is providing support to a number of Parkinson's disease causes, will donate money to local Parkinson's charity with social media initiative in November.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (November 15, 2012) – Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota continues its support of great causes by participating in various avenues to raise money and awareness for Parkinson's disease, including a fundraiser and a recent walk. Throughout the month of November, the dealership will also donate $25 to the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA) for every Like its page receives on Facebook.

Jack Taylor's annual fundraiser for Parkinson's raised $47,900 late last month.  The funds raised were donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research. Alexandria Toyota was also on hand to support the recent Moving Day Washington D.C. walk on Nov. 4, which aims to raise awareness for Parkinson's disease. The two-mile walk had over 2,000 participants, including people with Parkinson's, families, friends, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and corporate teams.

Alexandria Toyota also showcased an all-new redesigned 2013 Scion FR-S sports car near the start of the walk by the center field gate at Nationals Parks. The FR-S was wrapped in a sporty design inspired by the colors and logo of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. It also featured decals, like those on a racecar, with the logos of the event's organizers, the National Parkinson's Foundation and the PFNCA. The event raised almost $300,000.

Those interested in supporting Alexandria Toyota's November initiative for Parkinson's disease can visit and Like the dealership's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/AlexandriaToyota.

Alexandria Toyota has recently supported other great causes. Also in October, Alexandria Toyota raised $14,580 toward the annual Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, which raises money for mammograms and diagnostic testing to uninsured and underinsured women. Alexandria Toyota was the event's only Pink Ribbon sponsor, which is the highest sponsor level for the event.

Support of Charitable Causes, High Operating Standards Help Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota Earn 27th Consecutive President's Award

Alexandria dealership has received the prestigious honor from Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. more times than any other dealership in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – March 22, 2013 – Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota continued its impressive streak of receiving the prestigious Toyota President's Award, earning the award for the 27th year in a row. The dealership remains in exclusive company. Alexandria Toyota is one of only five Toyota dealerships in the nation to receive the honor every year since the award's inception in 1986.

"It's no small feat to win the President's Award, one time," said Jeff Salton, General Manager at Alexandria Toyota. "But to win it every year we've been open is a testament to our dedication in providing the best customer service and the great work our team does every single day."

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. presents the highly respected President's Award to dealers for their outstanding performance and dedication to excellence in achieving Toyota's highest operating standards in sales, service, parts and customer service.

In addition to the reputation Alexandria Toyota has built with its highly rated operating standards, the dealership is well-known for giving back to the community and continually supporting worthy causes. Alexandria Toyota's most recently supported charitable campaign is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, a local shelter for homeless animals. Throughout the month of March, the dealership will donate $10 to the organization for every "Like" it receives on its Facebook page.

In February, Alexandria Toyota held a similar Facebook initiative in support of the Go Red For Women campaign, with the funds raised going toward the Washington, D.C. chapter of the American Heart Association. Additionally, back in October, the dealership raised $14,580 toward the annual Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, which raises money for mammograms and diagnostic testing for uninsured and underinsured women.

Jack Taylor himself is a big proponent of Parkinson's disease research. With the help of Alexandria Toyota, the dealership's owner raised nearly $60,000 for organizations like the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area.

Alexandria Toyota doesn't limit its support and generosity to just organizations. Starting on Veterans Day in 2012, the dealership provided a Toyota Tundra pickup truck to retired Marine Sergeant Brendan O'Toole and his support staff for his cross-country run in support of The Run for Veterans. The nonprofit organization's goal is to raise $2 million during his journey to support U.S. Armed Forces veterans, combat veterans and disabled veterans, as well as their families.
